Apple has revealed the iPhone 16, its first phone designed specifically for generative AI. The base iPhone 16 starts at $799 with a 6.1-inch screen, and the iPhone 16 Plus starts at $899 with a 6.7-inch screen. Both models come with 128 GB of memory and are available in black, white, pink, teal, and ultramarine. The Pro models include the iPhone 16 Pro ($999 for 6.3 inches) and iPhone 16 Pro Max ($1,199 for 6.9 inches), also starting with 128 GB of memory and offering up to 1 TB of storage. These models will be available starting on September 20, 2024.

The phones feature the new A18 chip, which is 30% faster than the A17, and improved camera technology, including a 48-megapixel and ultrawide camera. A new physical “Camera Control” button has been added to streamline camera functions.

The iPhone 16 also introduces Apple Intelligence, which includes advanced AI features such as enhanced Siri with ChatGPT integration, text tools for rewriting and summarizing, and AI-powered image creation through the Image Playground app. The phones will also feature improved battery life, with up to 22 hours of video playback on the iPhone 16 and 33 hours on the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Other announcements include the Apple Watch Series 10, AirPods 4, and AirPods Pro 2, each with new features and updates. The products will be available on September 20, with AirPods Pro 2’s health-related features arriving later in the year.
