Batik Air Malaysia to resume service between Kuala Lumpur and Colombo

Batik Air Malaysia is scheduled to officially resume its direct flight service between Kuala Lumpur and Colombo on March 30, 2026. The airline will operate four weekly flights  using a Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

The service will operate four times a week on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The airline will deploy a Boeing 737 800 aircraft for the service. M and C Companies Pvt. Ltd will serve as the General Sales Agent for Batik Air in Sri Lanka. β€œThese connections linking Southeast Asia to Sri Lanka will help improve regional travel options,” said Arasu Soundarajan, Head of Sales of Batik Air. He said Sri Lankan arrivals to Malaysia increased from 61,775 in 2023 to around 77,202, reflecting a near 25% growth. The introduction of four weekly flights is expected to further boost passenger numbers.
