Hilton Colombo is shining a spotlight on the Middle Eastern World Chocolate Master, Chef Aravinda Leelarathna with ‘Chocolate Express’, a thoughtfully curated, month-long celebration of fine chocolate. Currently taking place and running until 15 February 2026, the experience unfolds across L.A.B and Café Kai, where Chef Aravinda’s artistry comes to life through bespoke menus and immersive workshops led by the renowned chocolatier himself.
At L.A.B, Chef Aravinda reimagines afternoon high tea through a chocolate-forward lens. Available on Thursdays and Fridays from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, the Chocolate Express high tea buffet features classic favorites with a side of cocoa-infused creations, priced at Rs. 5,988 nett per person. Guests may also enjoy a refined high tea platter for two at Rs. 8,888 nett, showcasing the chef’s expert approach to flavor and presentation, available daily.
Extending the experience beyond the lounge, Café Kai presents a curated collection that includes handcrafted cakes, mini dessert jars, chocolate treats, beverages, and an ice cream cart featuring distinctive chocolate flavors.
Chef Aravinda’s presence takes center stage through two exclusive workshops offered as part of Chocolate Express. Inside the Cocoa L.A.B, held on 29 January 2026 from 3:00 pm onwards, offers an intimate live chocolate demonstration featuring tempering techniques, guided tastings, and an exclusive high tea experience at Graze Kitchen. The session is priced at Rs. 8,888 nett per person.
Young chocolate lovers are also invited to learn directly from the Master during the Little Chocolatiers’ Workshop on 1 February 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Designed for children aged 6 to 16, this hands-on experience will introduce foundational chocolate-making skills through interactive activities and tastings, priced at Rs. 6,388 nett per child.
