Doctors warn of medicine shortage

Sri Lanka’s doctors warn of essential life saving medicine shortage due to the severe economic crisis the country is facing. The Sri Lanka Medical Association (SLMA) said that all hospitals in the country no longer have access to imported medical tools and vital drugs.

Moreover, the dollar shortage has left the country struggling to pay foreign debts worth $51 billion causing shortages in fuel, food and now pharmaceuticals.
